A guide to Egypt's North Coast, built as a product rather than a listings page.
Everything worth doing on the North Coast is known by somebody and written down by nobody. Visitors plan a season around screenshots, group chats and out-of-date posts, and the venues themselves have no reliable way to be found.
Turn scattered local knowledge into a guide people trust and return to - one that works on a phone with poor signal, on a beach, in the hour before dinner is decided.
What we did.
The structure came first. Rather than a directory of everything, the site is organised the way people actually decide: by mood and by moment. A visitor arrives with a feeling, not a filter, and the interface meets them there.
Every venue is a real page with its own hours, location, images and detail, not a row in a table. That decision set the content standard for the whole product and is the reason the guide reads as edited rather than scraped.
The application was built to run as a website and as an installable app from a single codebase, so a season's audience is not split across platforms or asked to download anything before it can be useful.
